Charles Godfrey was a pilot who, in the midst of World War I, demonstrated the strength of the French Air Force by flying his bi-plane through the Arc de Triumph. Our ode to the national hero envelopes its wearer in a garment that seems to be in constant motion – falling, swooping, ascending with any body’s curves. Drawstrings inspired by Twentieth Century military parachuting allow the wearer to tailor the garment to their liking while maintaining the weightless delicacy of Godfrey’s ostentatious flight.
